In our 2018 Scholarship year, the Michigan Elks Association chose 60 student from the state level and 16 onto the National Judging, awarding these students $124,000 in scholarships.

Our Gold Key Commissioners awarded 18 special needs high school seniors over $130,000 in scholarships.

2018 Most Valuable Student Contest

The Elks National Foundation is proud to announce the launch of the 2017 Most Valuable Student Scholarship contest on September 1, 2016!

The MVS contest is open to any high school senior who is a U.S. citizen

2018 Legacy Awards Contest

Legacy Awards are $4,000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of Elks members. The Foundation will offer a total of 250 awards in the 2017 contest.

The 2017 contest will open on September 1, 2016, and applications will be due online by February 3, 2017, at 11:59 a.m. Central Time.

Emergency Educational Grants

The Emergency Educational Grant program provides financial assistance to children of deceased or totally disabled Elks, who wish to obtain or further their college education.

Last year, the Elks National Foundation conducted a third-party evaluation of the Emergency Educational Grant program.

The Gunther & Lee Weigel Medical School Scholarship

The Elks National Foundation is pleased to offer an exclusive scholarship opportunity just for Elks scholars pursuing a medical degree or Osteopathic Medicine degree.

This Gunther & Lee Weigel Medical School Scholarships are $20,000 scholarships offered to Elks scholars (current or alum) entering their first year of medical school. The scholarship established through the generosity of the late Lee Weigel, widow of Gunther Weigel.
